    Expertise 03 · Electrical power

Electrical infrastructure designed around your building’s needs.

Low-voltage distribution, switchboards and protection, cable routes, lighting and equipment power supply: we design and install electrical systems according to how the building is used and its continuity requirements.

    Area 03

    • Design and sizing
    • Distribution and switchboards
    • Cable routes and power supply
    • Lighting

    Main interfaces

IT and cybersecurity · ELV systems · BMS and GRMS

    Challenges

Electrical power underpins every other system.

    1. Distribution matched to actual loads

Power ratings, outgoing circuits and protection are defined according to the equipment to be supplied, its importance for the business and expected changes.

    2. Clear, operable installations

A labelled switchboard, identified circuits and up-to-date drawings make operation, interventions and future extensions easier.

    3. Continuity tailored to each load

Depending on the project, some supplies require a backup source or a UPS. These needs are identified and validated with you, load by load.

    Scope

From design to testing, within our defined scope.

Depending on the assignment, we work on design, installation or both. Tasks entrusted to a partner or a consortium member are specified for each project.

    • Design and sizing

      • Load calculations and protection selection, depending on scope
      • Electrical drawings and schematics
      • Layout of switchboards and cable routes
    • Distribution and switchboards

      • Low-voltage distribution
      • Main and sub-distribution boards
      • Protection and circuit labelling
      • Backed-up supplies and UPS, depending on the project
    • Cable routes and power supply

      • Cable trays and distribution networks
      • Power supply for technical, IT and ELV equipment
      • Dedicated circuits and socket outlets
    • Lighting

      • Indoor and outdoor lighting, depending on the project
      • Lighting controls and interfaces with building management, where specified

    Scope conditions

    • Our offer covers low-voltage installations. High- and medium-voltage works and power plants are not part of it.
    • On a consortium project, the split of tasks between ICT VALUE and the other contractors is specified in the offer and the project documents.

    Interfaces

Every building system starts with its power supply.

The electrical needs of the other packages are collected early: loads, locations, expected continuity.

    • IT infrastructure and cybersecurity

Power supply and protection for racks, switches and access points; continuity of technical rooms.

    • ELV and security systems

Power supply for security and fire safety panels; interlocks to be defined and tested with the relevant package.

    • BMS and GRMS

Switchboard status, energy metering and technical alarms reported to the BMS.

    • Other technical packages

Air conditioning, ventilation, kitchens, equipment: loads and connection points to be confirmed with each contractor.

    How we work

An installation that is prepared, built, then verified.

    1. Needs assessment

Equipment to supply, critical loads, existing installations and site constraints.

    2. Design and drawings

Sizing, schematics and layouts, according to the assignment.

    3. Installation and coordination

Installation, connections and switchboards, coordinated with the other packages and following an agreed phasing.

    4. Testing and acceptance

Inspections, functional tests and clearing of snag items.

    5. Technical file

As-built drawings and documentation handed over under the contract.

    Deliverables

    Example deliverables

Deliverables are defined in each proposal, according to the assignment.

    • Design studies and drawings, depending on the assignment
    • Switchboard schematics and circuit labelling
    • Test reports
    • As-built file or technical documentation, under contract

    Sectors

Electrical requirements specific to each activity.

    Frequently asked questions

    Electrical power: your questions.

Do you work on occupied sites?

Yes, with a phasing plan agreed with your teams. Necessary shutdowns are identified, scheduled and kept to a minimum as far as the project allows; we do not promise work without any interruption.

Do you carry out design studies or only installation?

Both are possible: design only, installation based on an existing design, or design and installation. The content of the assignment is specified in our proposal.

Do you work in consortium with other companies?

On some projects, yes. Each member’s role and the tasks carried out by ICT VALUE are then specified in the offer and the project documents.

Which documents do you hand over at the end of the works?

Under the contract: updated schematics, labelling, test reports and technical file. The list is defined in the proposal.
