Technical infrastructure suited to the constraints of healthcare facilities.
Electrical power, networks, communications, security and supervision: we coordinate the infrastructure of clinics and hospitals, taking into account how each area is used, access requirements and day-to-day operation, including on occupied sites.

The challenge
In a healthcare facility, power and digital systems are vital functions.
01
Ensure power continuity in care areas
The right level of backup for each load, from the normal supply to the uninterruptible power supply.
02
Protect patients in the operating theatre
An isolated network specific to the room, which signals a fault without cutting the power.
03
Route patient calls to care staff
From the room to the nurses’ station and the teams’ handsets, depending on the system chosen.
04
Separate clinical and visitor networks
Segments separated by function, with the visitor network kept isolated from clinical networks.
Domain by domain
From the challenge to acceptance.
For each domain, we start from the operational need, identify the interfaces with the other packages, then prepare the tests.
Power and continuity
Challenge : Not every load needs the same level of backup.
1Solution
Normal distribution, generator-backed distribution with changeover switch, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for sensitive loads, identification of normal and backed-up circuits right up to the patient’s bedside.
2Interfaces
Status reports from sources and UPS to supervision; power supply for IT racks and safety systems.
3Acceptance
Changeover tests according to the defined protocol, labelling checks, as-built files depending on the assignment.
Operating theatres · isolated power supply (medical IT system)
Challenge : Signal an insulation fault without cutting power to the room.
1Solution
Dedicated panel with medical isolation transformer, insulation monitoring device, in-room alarm and repeat at the nurses’ station.
2Interfaces
Reporting to supervision possible depending on the interface; coordination with safety sources and the UPS.
3Acceptance
Tests and measurements according to the applicable standards (IEC 60364-7-710, IEC 61557-8), values validated by the responsible engineer.
The medical IT system is an isolated-neutral electrical distribution arrangement (IEC 60364-7-710); it refers neither to healthcare information systems nor to medical devices.
Networks, Wi-Fi and telephony
Challenge : One shared network, traffic to keep apart.
1Solution
Structured copper and fibre cabling, core and access network, professional Wi-Fi, IP telephony; segments by function: care, telephony, nurse call, IPTV, security, technical and visitors.
2Interfaces
UPS-backed power for active equipment; connection of security and nurse call systems.
3Acceptance
Cabling measurements, coverage and segmentation tests, documentation depending on the assignment.
Nurse call
Challenge : From the patient’s call to a traceable response.
1Solution
Bedside call handset, bathroom pull cord, corridor lights, nurses’ station, forwarding to care staff handsets depending on the system chosen.
2Interfaces
Backed-up power supply for the installation, network connection, status reporting to supervision depending on the interface.
3Acceptance
Room-by-room functional tests, verification of available traceability.
Available functions depend on the system chosen and its configuration.
Security and fire safety
Challenge : Protect patients, staff and sensitive areas.
1Solution
CCTV on a dedicated network; access control by profile and time slot for theatres, pharmacy, technical rooms and archives; fire detection and safety actions.
2Interfaces
Exit door release controlled by the fire safety system, which remains autonomous.
3Acceptance
Tests of the interlocks defined for the project, with the parties involved.
CCTV declarations to the CNDP (Law 09-08) are the facility’s responsibility.
Technical supervision
Challenge : See all installations and anticipate failures.
1Solution
Sources, generators and UPS, distribution and metering, technical alarms, histories and test reports.
2Interfaces
Autonomous systems (fire safety, smoke control, regulatory medical alarms) keep their own signalling; reporting remains possible without replacing them.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions about a healthcare project.
Do you work in clinics that remain in operation?
Yes. Phasing, areas and possible shutdowns are agreed with the facility before the works. Interruptions are analysed and scheduled; they cannot always be avoided.
Do you work with the engineering consultant and the other packages?
Yes. Coordination is part of our approach: interfaces, each contractor’s responsibilities and cross-tests are specified for each assignment.
Do you handle biomedical equipment?
No. Our assignments cover electrical infrastructure, networks, communications, security and supervision. Biomedical equipment and clinical software are handled by other specialists.
Do you maintain the installations?
Maintenance can be provided depending on the installations, the site and the contract. We define its content with you.
